New York Yankees No. 1 prospect Gleyber Torres injured

While sliding into home plate on Saturday afternoon, New York Yankees #1 prospect and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre infielder Gleyber Torres hyperextended his left elbow and has landed himself on the 7-day DL.

Torres has been on fire since being called up to the Triple-A  Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders from the Trenton Thunder with a slash line of .309/.406/.467, hitting .385 in his last 10 games.

Torres took to Twitter a day after his injury and responded to numerous fans who had wished him a quick recovery.
