The newest name released in connection to Anthony Bosch and his Biogenesis anti-aging clinic in Miami is former New York Yankees star prospect and current Seattle Mariners slugger Jesus Montero. Bosch is currently under investigation by Major League Baseball and the Federal Drug Administration for supplying professional baseball players with performance-enhancing drugs.

Two Yankees, Alex Rodriguez and Francisco Cervelli, have been linked to Bosch, while Montero becomes the third former Yankee to emerge in the scandal. Former Yankees Bartolo Colon and Melky Cabrera, who both received 50 game suspensions last season due to failed drug tests, were both listed in the original report with A-Rod.

Montero is represented by the Levinson brothers, Seth and Sam, who run ACES baseball agency and have been accused of supplying clients with steroids in the past. In addition to Montero, ACES also represents three other players listed in the Bosch scandal, Cabrera, Gio Gonzalez, and Nelson Cruz.

The 23 year-old Montero hit .260 with 15 home runs and 62 RBI with the Mariners last season. When called up at the end of the 2011 season, Montero hit .328 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 18 games with the Yankees, quickly earning the respect of fans.

However, he was then sent from New York to Seattle along with right-hander Hector Noesi in a trade that landed right-hander Michael Pineda in the Bronx. Pineda missed the entire 2012 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
