Loading ...After a strong encouragement from Jack Curry of the YES Network, New York Yankees Hall of Famer and fan-favorite Yogi Berra has joined Twitter.
Curry also credits Dave Kaplan, the director of the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, for pushing Yogi toward the idea.
This is great news for many Yankee fans who actively use Twitter as Yogi is one of the most quoted personalities of today. In addition to his decorated baseball resume that includes 18 All-Star appearances, 13 World Series titles, and three MVP awards, the legendary catcher and manager is known for "Yogi-isms", which are famous sayings from Yogi that often involve humor and end with contradiction, common sense, or paradox.
Arguably the most famous "Yogi-ism" of all-time, which is now quoted by many during sporting events, is "it ain't over, til it's over." A few more examples of "Yogi-isms" are listed below:
"I didn't really say everything I said."
"You can observe a lot by watching."
"The future ain't what it used to be."
